DONG CHENG LAN TIAN’s Maiden Call to Aden

14 September 2025, the vessel DONG CHENG LAN TIAN berthed at the quay of Aden Container Terminal on its first call to the Port of Aden, thereby inaugurating the maiden voyage of OVP Shipping Company, one of the leading Chinese carriers calling at Aden.

The visit of the Chinese vessel comes as part of a direct service linking Chinese ports with Aden Container Terminal, a development expected to reduce the transit time for cargo shipments from export ports to Aden and, in turn, lower maritime transport costs.

The vessel’s captain was welcomed by the Commercial Department of Aden Container Terminal, accompanied by the local agent of the Chinese carrier, represented by Mr. Hamdi Al-Shabooti, General Manager of the Red Sea Shipping Company.
