Aden Port inaugurates the first direct call of the Turkish Shipping line,,,

23 February 2024. Aden Port marked the first voyage of the Turkish shipping line, Sidra Line, with the inaugural visit of Turkish line ships to the Aden Container Terminal. This line will connect Aden Port with Turkish Seaports and Red Sea ports.

The visit was represented by the ship Sidra Ahlam, and it will be followed by the dispatch of other voyages in direct calls to Aden Port. The ship will discharge around 340 TEU for the local market. The management of Aden Port and the Container Terminal, led by Dr. Mohammed Alawi Emzarbah, the Chairman of the Board, and Mr. Aref Al-Shaabi, the General Manager of the Container Terminal, welcomed the inauguration of the first Turkish shipping line calls. They emphasized the importance of Aden Port in maritime transport, especially given its strategic location and competitive services offered to ships.

The commercial management presented commemorative gifts to the ship’s captain during their first visit to the Container Terminal. In return, the ship’s captain expressed his happiness with his first visit to Aden Port, thanking and appreciating the warm reception and prompt services, starting from pilotage and guidance services to the handling services at the Container Terminal.
